Re: Building a Blazer - vtblazer's Way

Hey vtblazer, maybe I missed it ...but are you going to run 14" travel rear shocks? If so how are you going to mount them?

Is there and upper crossmember/shock mount that you know of?

Thanks,

Re: Building a Blazer - vtblazer's Way

Sorry Kurt but I've been slackin' a little. Had to go back 3 pages to find my last post and then catch up on my reading. I won't even start in on my kids, grand kids, and yep even great grand kids. Now I feel old. Later.

This build has taken a backseat to the kids & family responsibilities for the time being, with good weather here it's more about spending time with the kids and their interests with the current economy it's more about making sure the bills get paid.

With three of your own, I'm guessing maybe your on the same page.

Kurt,

You need an NOS driver door for this project? I'm picking it up next month... when's the next road trip to PA?

Thanks Mike but I'm good in the door department, have a set from the very first blazer I ever purchased years ago, it's long since rusted/been parted out but I've kept these doors all this time.

Nothing for P.A. on the radar right now, actually trying to sell the crawler currently but the Tenn. trip is coming up. (hopefully I can still make it)
You going to that?

Actually, we are doing our damnedest to support our flagging economy.

I am doing more work on my truck than I have in years. The funny thing is, I've only spent a few hundred bucks and I've been selling unwanted or un-needed stuff to off set it.

Both my girls play softball, one of them is on 3 rosters. My summers have been spent hauling them around for years. My winters are spent hauling the son around for hockey. It seems like it never ends, but then when the season is over, you feel a liitle lost and restless. My oldest just got Academic All-conference today as a junior. The wife just asks whos kid is this.

Have fun with the kids. The trucks aren't going anywhere.

3rd weekend in July.. dang, i'll pass you guys on the road. I'll be in Indy the week of the 6th, then Hunstville on the 13th and back to PA just before that weekend. I'll have the wife and kids so I can't see her being excited enough to add another 2 days to the end of the trip! If you guys happen to come through Harrisburg, PA let me know though. Maybe we can link up for a fuel stop or I can show off some flight simulators.

The only thing I've done is strip off the 37's and put on some 42's.

New pics, yes.
Any real progress, not so much.

Lately it's only been about sorting/storing & trying to clean out & clear up garage space.

Back to the H2's.

Swapped the wheels/tires around again, why you ask?

Cause the guy who's buying the blue blazer wants the 42's on it.

If the blue one goes, will you keep the orange one, or try to sell that one too?
