What does “blue cloth trim” 1972 look like?

My new to me 1972 Suburban shows blue cloth trim on the SPID. What does that look like? Does anyone sell replacement covers for it? I’m guessing it’s not houndstooth or is it?

Correct, houndstooth is blue "custom cloth". Blue "cloth" is the Custom Deluxe trim level and looks like this. Recommend contact SMS for the material, I believe they carry it.

Re: What does “blue cloth trim” 1972 look like?

Thank you for the help guys. Mine is a custom deluxe but, list blue cloth. I prefer the look of houndstooth. Wonder if I should just roll with houndstooth.

Re: What does “blue cloth trim” 1972 look like?

In 71/72 GM played with the mid-level trim names. They took the 67-70 mid-level Custom and put it at the base-level and named the mid-level Custom Deluxe (Chevy) and Super Custom (GMC). But the options were still labeled the 67-70 way, the same as fast food joints calling their smallest drink a medium and the medium a large. Large is now the medium drink. That blue cloth looks nice. I'd rather have that than houndstooth. But it's your ride

Blue plaid/blue vinyl would look awesome, since we are talking custom. Houndstooth is the go to custom upgrade on these trucks, all years/all seats. I reserve that for the YE9s and clones. For custom I like to do something different from everyone else.
