Re: Pick it up Tuesday...

Down here in the States we don't have Sleeman Original Draught or Silverado "Cheyenne Editions". I'll have one of each please...

Re: Pick it up Tuesday...

Some fall shots (better pics with the caps, still working on the handles)

Got new rims and tires in mind for the new year, and still need to put my white door handles on and paint my tail gate handle white too.

And I'm up in the air about painting the chrome white, what do you guys think? Should I colour match the chrome on the truck?

Re: Pick it up Tuesday...

Colour matched handles and tonneau are on, next step it to find a paintable grille and bumper. Already got the bumper caps, just need to clean and buff them up, hope to install them this week end.

Re: Pick it up Tuesday...

Thanks, I've got the bumper corners ready to go on, but I'm in the middle of selling my house and looking for a new garage... I mean house, LOL. I hope to have some free time this week to get them on. Just trying to figure out how to do it. Or how much has to come off to do it.

On a side note, this was my morning drive across the border this morning

Re: Pick it up Tuesday...

Not much updated on the truck, but I was out taking some photo's with the GF and snapped a few of the truck.

I installed some black vinyl on the 'b' pillar between the windows, not too happy about the way it came out, but I'm gonna leave it till the spring. I might try and redo it with plasti-dip then.

Re: Pick it up Tuesday...

Had a 3.5" RC lift put on the truck, and it's getting a set of 285/70/1 Cooper AT3's tomorrow. Also have an Airraid Jr kit coming.
Before

After

Going to see if I can find a set of rims this sumer too.

Re: Pick it up Tuesday...

Just a comparison shot, the grey truck is a 2013 Z71 4x4.

Re: Pick it up Tuesday...

Not a big fan of the 2007-2013 Chevy body style but yours looks great in white with the tasteful lift and tires. Just a nice stance without a 10 foot lift, goofy 20-something inch Rockstar wheels makes them look so much better. Looks great in a modified stock form.

Kudos to you for finding one with a manual shift transfercase too! I HATE the electric shift garbage in our last few Tahoes. I am anxious to start seeing the new 2014’s on the road.

Re: Pick it up Tuesday...

Thanks, yeah the floor shift 4x4 was a must and the reason I went with the LS model. I did a lot of research when looking at the new Chevy's, which led me to the manual shift 4x4, and the 4.8. The 5.3's are problem proned with oil consumption, AFM, and lifter problems, and at only 20hp/40ftlbs more in the power dept it wasn't worth it to me. I don't even like the 6 speed, in the city my 6speed work truck is constantly shifting and hunting for gears. I take a hit in MPG on the highway with the 4 speed, but it's honestly not enough to bother me, the truck spends 80% of its time at 50-90 km/h. I'm getting about 17mpg combined, now that'll go down with the lift and tires, but I don't care.

Re: Pick it up Tuesday...

Well, I finally got rid of the stock wheels and more importantly the 1/4" spacers

Went with 17x9 XD Addicts with a -12 offset. There was some rubbing when I first installed them, against the mud flaps, I removed them and the rubbing stopped.
