They are one of the vendors that belongs to our "truck family", so I would suggest you look at their website and take your time scrolling through all the pages...you never know what will catch your eye! It was also an education for me, as my list of collected parts continued to grow!!! Good luck with how ever you proceed...and I'm sure some others will weigh in on your post!

Just placed a large order with GMC Paul. Thank you for the recommendation! I really like the no BS format of the site.

Glad to hear that it worked well for you, Tug...it does make it easy to "run up the bill", doesn't it! Looking forward to seeing some pictures when you get the Burb back from paint...and follow-up progress as well! Maybe I will get a little more motivated myself, but right now, I'm hesitant to stop driving mine!

Re: Weather seals and rubber 71 Suburban

I did the same total rubber replacement on my 71 (barn door). The only suprise i got was with barn door hinge seals. For some reason when the doors were installed there was not enough room between the hinge bracket and the body. Not sure if that was because the aftermarket parts are thicker than original part. If I would have discovered this before paint I could have widened the hinge clearance passage hole. The other mistake was not installing the gasket onto the hinge arm before shimming and fitment of the door. It is a pain to remove hinge and correct the error now so I had to split the gasket to fit it.
I will probably cut the lip from the rubber seal and attach it with good quality sealant. Our burb never sees rain so seal is not a big issue
Hope this helps.

I am pretty sure the lift gate and barn door hinge seals are the same. I too was not satisfied with the fit of them compared to the original factory seals. If I could go back I would reuse the originals.
