Name that part...

On my 350 TBI on the drivers side toward the rear of the valve cover (the oil filler cap is toward the front) there was a tube that came out and ran up near the throttle body....what is that part called? I say was because when I pulled the valve covers off it was split and just fell off. I was thinking I had read that it could be replaced with an oil breather, but I can't seem to find anything now about it.

from your description it should be the breather tube that goes to the air cleaner

Ya, after I posted this I did some searching outside of this site and found what I was looking for. It appears I can use a button style breather that has a vacuum nipple and run a hose back to the throttle body collar.
