Happy Groundhog Day

This is the day

In 6 weeks, it will be spring.

So, what is the difference between 6 more weeks of cold weather,
Or 6 more weeks till spring.

The animal prognosticator has been at it since the 1880s. Records kept by the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club show Phil has predicted 105 continued winters and only 20 early springs. According to the Stormfax Almanac, that works out to a 39% accuracy rate for Phil.

Didn't we do this yesterday?

It's still just once a year, right?

Yes, by the middle of winter we all get so bored we care if a groundhog sees his shadow or not to tell us if there will be 6 more weeks of winter or if spring will start in 6 weeks

Based on ancient Celtic tradition.

The "cross-quarter" between Winter Solstice and Vernal Equinox - "Imbolc"

An Cailleach (old woman) comes out and if the weather is nice She will gather wood for six more weeks of winter. I think CS Lewis used that as inspiration for the "White Witch" of Narnia.
