Trying to start her Is pink the right one?!?

I'm second guessing myself. I hooked up my starter wire to the pink wire behind the key that's where my old one was.!? I also connected my green wire Frm my harness ignition on run crank to the pink too. Is that right???!
After I took a break Frm that I started to see everything else all my old wiring what am I suppose to do with that lol. What can I eliminate and what do I have to keep. Thanks in advance.

New swap. 2004 5.3 4l60 with electric gas pedal everything together

You can try the brown, but you're probably just gonna upset the thing.

Pink... with heat shrink.

Not enuff info man. Are you using a stock harness or a fabbed harness from a vender/company?

Pink is usually a switched 12v wire so that would be correct, but on my harness there were more than one pink switched 12, and my Ignition switch didn't have a green wire either.

As for the old stuff.....you can remove whatever you aren't using....which will depend completely on what your running, we won't be really able to know. Stuff like the HEI wiring if you had it can come out etc. We took EVERYTHING out and just put back what we needed. Ended up taking only a short time longer.

Ok. I'm going with factory harness but a local guy took everything I'm not going to use out I guess the more I play with it the more it make since. But what do I do with old alternator stuff? I'm not worried about my gauges right now I just want to drive this thing already. Lol but It might bit me in the butt later
I got my harness back with 3 wires that needed to be connected red purple green

Ok. Both the starter and the green wire that is coming Frm my ecm are connected to the big pink wire. Will see how she works in a few days.
Thanks
