I have an 02 5.7 pulled from a camaro along with the camaro tank in my truck and had a line bust in the tank I replaced the line and checked the fuel pressure. Gauge read 85 lbs so I pulled the pump and replaced the internal regulator. Checked the fuel pressure afterwards and it was still 85 lbs, I even checked it with another gauge and still 85. Truck runs great but why such high pressure? I am in the process of running new lines but I'm wondering what to do about this?
I have 3/8 line with inline camaro filter and return line is from rail back to tank.

You shouldnt have a return line from the rail on an 02 camaro LS1. You should have a feed line coming out of the tank, then to a "T" with one side returning to the tank and the other going to the fuel filter and then the rail. This is IF you have the LS1 Camaro tank. Is this how you have it run? Sounds like you're dead heading the bpump.

x2, you shouldn't have an internal reg and still be running a return from the rail....it sounds like there is a weird mix of parts at work.

Camaro style has the on-sending unit regulator
Vette style would use the combo filter/regulator
Truck style has the on-rail regulator

...which are you running.

Thanks for the replies. I have a line run from the purge solenoid to the return side of the tank. So yes I have it all wrong. So now what do I do with the purge solenoid?

Throw it away? Most of us aren't running any of the emissions stuff, barring the dudes in the Communist Republic of Kalifornia.

You can run a vented gas cap, or run a short vent line with a breather or check. You don't need to hook up all the evap stuff or a charc cannistor etc.
