What to use??

this truck has a single stage paint, that is faded a little, and has some shine.
in the old days I'd get some compound and rub..
looking at the mothers site there are no less than 3 compounds and like 5-10 polishes ,
as seen as my old school compound in a can is dried up. what should I use to being it back , not looking for show car as the truck needs paint. but want to make to look good till I can get to that point..
thanks

Re: What to use??

Have you gone down to the local auto supply store and looked at 3M Finnesse-It rubbing compound. It is really easy to use and is quite fluid to apply. You can do it by hand or use a power buffer (Slow Speed). This stuff works well on plastic lenses and anything that has a shiney finsih.

When done poi9shing, then provide a sealant, like Mothers or some of the others use. I use a brand called Wizards and it would surprise you if you tried it. I have vehicles that are black and this stuff keeps them clean, check out the shine in the paint on the black truck.
