4l60e slip yoke

Finally started working on the connecting the driveline and realized the slip yoke I have (TH400) is different from the 4l60e. I have the stock driveshaft, anyone know what the u joint sizes are or would it be best to hit the part store and verify prior to ordering a new yoke?

Re: 4l60e slip yoke

Just get one for a 350 turbo or 700r4, they're easy to find.

Thanks, found a few online. Would it be 1310 or 1350? Does that even matter?

Yes it does matter. If your truck is a 1/2 ton it should be a 1310. I would measure the u-joints on your drive shaft to make sure.

Re: 4l60e slip yoke

I will be working on the drive line soon. I called a local drive shaft company and they said the slip yoke should only go in about 3/4 of an inch?.... Is this what everyone is finding??

Is the driveline shop telling you to install the yoke & then measure for the driveshaft?

That is not the way to measure, You measure from the end of the extension housing to the center of the rear U-joint, And the Shop figures out everything else.

Something like that..I'm confused, by extension housing, do you mean the end of the transmission like where the yoke slips in ?
