drop spindles
i just bought these 3 inch drop spindles off of CL and i just wanna make sure they are actually what they guy said they were. they didnt have much but just a 11701 LH and a 11702 RH casted on them. if anhone can ID these for me and verify that they are 3 inch drop spindles that would be great or else im a have to go get my money back

a pic will help.alot good eyes here on this site.Someone should be able to tell by seeing how low or high the spindle shaft is .g/l

Spindle shaft is higher than stock, they are definitely drop spindles, the real question is what balljoints and tie rods fit them.

at least you have the old ball joints and tie rods. Take them to the parts store and make sure what your buying matches the old.

I know I'm way late responding to this thread, but I came across this same issue last night trying to determine the origin of the spindles I just received from summit. I ordered 2.5" drop spindles for 1.25" rotor for my 87 Silverado. Summit brand part number is SUM-G703. The sales guy said they were actually Western Chassis spindles. When I opened the box, the instructions were from Ground Force. The only casting on the spindles: RH. 11702, LH. 11701. Can't find anything from Ground Force site to positively assure me I have the correct 2.5"drop spindle for my truck.

They are ground force, who may or may not be made by western chassis. They are definitely not chassis tech. I have used those same spindles many times. Does it really matter what brand they actually are, as long as they work well?

I know this is an old thread but i too have a set of these i picked up from a dead project a guy had and just curious as to how much drop they actually are. 2.5 would be good for me
