41/47 compatibility

Is a front cap for a 47 truck compatible with a 41 cab?

Not sure what you mean by "front cap" but if you mean front clip then only an early production 1st series front clip would be the same. There was a mid year production change so the 2nd series looks like the 48-54 trucks.

Looking at pictures the 41 and 47 both have the same body style with a definite change in 48. And yes, I think the front clip is what I was referring to. Thanks for the info.

The bigger series has a larger fender wheel opening. Example, If you put a clip from a 1-1/2 ton truck on your 1/2 ton, the wheels would look lost in the opening designed for 750x20 wheels.
