Not to rain on your parade I just sold one of these in a rear axle plus the front Dana 44 today for a hundred bucks they were out of a 75 3/4 ton. Sorry this stuff isn't bringing much right now at least in my area.

Hey yes you are a sinner, raining on my parade and driving one of those F words.
But that's ok, back in the days when we could have 4x4 get togethers around here, us GM guys enjoyed showing you Ford guys what you don't have, they just could never keep up. I don't think much of anything is selling to good these days, at least not around here, but it was worth the try. I guess i'll just hang on to it for a while then and who knows maybe i'll use it my self someday, but then it might be a while since us Chevy guys don't have to Fix Or Repair Daily. Take care.

Hey I don't doubt it and good for you. Around here we call then Stupid dutys with powerchoke grease burners. I get a kick out of the Ford and Dodge boys bragging on their diesels, but they never stop to consider it's not Ford and Dodge that make them, it's Cummins and International. At least GM has the nuts to make there own engines and yes at last has one that will leave what little competition it has in the dust. By the way, I like your truck. I wish someone would make me an offer on my posi unit, but then maybe I should keep it in case I shell out this old eaton of mine. Oh I hope not, if they are as tough as they look, then I have no worries. Keep up the good work stomping on the competition.

Chevy's diesel is built by the Japs for your info and at least Ford and Dodge have the brains to use motors built by? Who else the people that have built diesels forever, Cummins and International. Proven motors I might add. The blue collar workers of the ol USA built those motors too. Hey here's one for ya. Ever hear why those duramax's are so quiet? Because the Japs are good at surprise attacks!

Chevy did do one thing right first though they bought the best tranny on earth! The Alison, which is buy the way American made. Actually part of it is made local to me so at least some of my friends will have jobs for awhile I guess.

Well I'm sorry If I offended anyone. Hey Mac I figured it was just you and I having a little fun with our fine competition out there. But anyway now you've really got me thinking, cause the last I knew GM owns over 50% of Izuzu, that's not a fact that I am extremely proud of but hey that's why I said they were making there own engines and the Detroit division made the 6.2 and the 6.5 so even before the Duramax you can still say they tried. And why would Chevrolet have to "buy" the Allison when the last I knew it is a Div. of GM and has been for many years. And by the way Mac I agree with you, this is A Chevy board and I think it's perfectly natural to poke fun at our competition, you can bet they are doing the same thing about us on some of there boards. So any of you Ford guys looking in and don't like what we write, remember it's all in fun.

My correction finally put to good use the Allison transmission. And call Duramax what you want Japs still built and designed and shipped it in complete on a boat. And yes the detroit division did try with no success. Oh sorry about those f-words on this family oriented board guys. Just a little hindsight into my thought process. I always owned chevy til I need a real diesel to pull with (pre- duramax days) then I bought a Superduty it served me well for a hundred thousand with out even having to change brakes. I'm now on my second only because this new duramax has not proved itself. But just to let you know I'm watching and waiting

Well as far as I know it will fit from 73 to 00, but I'm not 100% sure past that, and If I'm right it will fit up to 4.10 ratio.

This one is for a full float axle, there is another 14 bolt, but it's a 9 1/2" semi float axle. And i'll take just what I have in it. $275 shipping included.
