AC/heater control unit bulb

Is there anything I should know about replacing my AC/heater control unit bulb?
When I unscrew and pull the unit from the dashboard I worried something will come off and recoil inside my dash, or I may break something.

Re: AC/heater control unit bulb

When you take the gauge bezel off, you should be able to get to it through the A/C vent hole, no need to take the A/C controls out. I've also taken out the lower A/C duct (under the steering column) and reached up into the dash and replaced it.
