I have seen people peel the woodgrain off & place it on a chrome bezel ?

I agree on the rarity.......but wouldn’t have the oo to try and take off the woodgrain.

This is a GM replacement piece I don’t believe one could get the chrome bezel as a GM replacement.

I have seen a chrome bezel be re-chromed and an NOS wood grain installed back on that bezel after being re-chromed but was very expensive process.

I heated up my old one from backside with heat gun and it peeled off easily. going to try in on a nice original black dash and see how it turns out. Basically a 3M adhesive backing, Wood grain is actually a thick piece with a good backing
