Under dash A/C question

Anyone ever heard of "Climatic Air Classic" under dash a/c's? I have one I got out of an old truck and I'm trying to make it work. I need some wiring info and knobs. Also, does anyone know if these units had a compressor on the engine? There is a black wire that goes through the firewall but I don't know what it hooks to. Thanks

usually the under dash part was where the air blew across the evaporator - witht he fans and things - the compressor was under the hood - or that is my limited understanding.

my '65 had an aftermarket unit under the dash like that installed but the hoses goign to and from the compressor were shot so I took it out. The fans and thigns worked great...

David, I don't remember hearing that brand name, but there were/are umpteen companies making those units. It has to have a compressor to function, that should be what the black wire is for. Most of those units only needed a 12V power wire(hot with the key on) to operate. As for knobs, you might be easier just trying to match up some knobs off of something else. Best of luck.
