AD truck builder must have manual

I just got one of these in the mail and it should be in every AD truck owner/builder's resource library as it will get referred to often no matter if your truck is a full showroom restoration or a full custom on a different chassis there is something for everyone.

I also got one of these a while back and although it is actually a 54 manual it works pretty well for the earlier AD trucks and really works great if you are changing body panels and need to know where spot welds and what not are. It also gives good instructions and diagrams on mounting the cab to the frame.

Re: AD truck builder must have manual

I would be still in tear-down mode without both manuals.

Re: AD truck builder must have manual

I balked for years on buying either one as my truck is modified from the word go but fifteen minutes after I pulled the shop manual out of the package I wondered why I hadn't tried to find one in 1973 when I first built the truck and the local dealer probably had a few in the back room collecting dust. This is a copy obviously and some of the photos and drawings aren't as sharp as the originals but the answers to a lot of questions we see here every week are in the two books.
