6.5" van rally's

I have a 69 gmc and need to know if 6.5" van rally's will fit in front if using 2 1/2" drop spindles? Thought i remember hearing there was possible issues with this. thanks

If you have an issue, it will likely be a matter of trimming the outer edge of the lower A-arm or clearance.....longhorn

Edit:crazy longhorn types faster than me. Ha

They have a 4" backspace just like the 15x8 rally wheels.
You might have to trim the lower a-arm on both sides of the lower balljoint.
No big deal.
10 minutes per side with a grinder and a cut-off wheel.

i have 6.5" van rallies mounted on Early Classic Ent. 2 1/2" drop spindles and it's also on air bags with NO rubbing issues and NO trimming.

7" rally wheels WILL rub with 2.5" spindles. Different back spacing than the 8" or the 6.5" wheel

15x7's have a 3-5/8" backspace.
I still trim the a-arms so all wheels will fit.

Depending on how bulky the spindle castings are, some people even have to clearance the outer tie rod arm of the spindle..
