-69 C20 Brake Conversion help

I guess there are several threads in this subjekt and alot of people who have dont it, but I just need help with some info:

What year will fit my truck and what is best to look for?
How much (parts included) do I need to change?
Is there any tricks or things you need to think about doing this?

Perhaps someone can link another thread from the forum.

Many thanks
Pete

HI Pete,

I replaced my complete frontmember with one of a '73 model.
It'll fit right under, but you will have to redrill 2 holes on each side.

you'll see pictures in my own thread linked in my signature.

Re: -69 C20 Brake Conversion help

What rearend to you have? Eaton full floater? you can use the 14 bolt conversion brackets, The hubs off of the eaton, the calipers and front rotors off the front of a 72 work fine. You will need a Disk/Disk proportioning valve to replace the Drum /Drum unit.

Front conversion i don't have info for.

Re: -69 C20 Brake Conversion help

Thank you for the info... and swamp rat, i will start with the front and then figure out if I want to go back also!
I have been reading alot about drum to disc swap in the forum, and I found this in one thread:

All of these are good sources.
71-87 trucks.
71-91 suburbans.
71-82 2wd blazers.

This was for a C10 truck.. but will it be the same years for a C20?
I also found this on Ebay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/271089197023...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Must be a good deal...
