4x4 burnouts

I see all these burnout videos out there but 90% are 2wd drives, any REAL trucks(haha) got videos of some burnouts!!!!!!!

Man, these burnout threads make me want to puke. All we ever see is a bunch of videos and pictures of people power braking their underpowered trucks until the rear brake drums glow red while the tires get spun down to the cords. That isn’t a burn out. Hell, a gutless 2.7L V6 Dodge Charger rental car can do that in a Marriott parking lot.

If the rig can’t spin the tires from a dead stop without holding the brake pedal it isn’t worth posting as a true burn out in my opinion.

I`ve been driving 4wds for over 30 years.Never thought to try a burn out.

My K10 will spin the front wheel wonder and the rear wheel wonder. But I have to launch it on dirt, or new pavement in the rain. She just chirps em. But she does it! On my next truck, she'll do it, when she is a supercharged 6.2.

do you relize how freaking inmpossible it is to burn all four ties with out being tied off?


there is the 10.5 outlaw drag 4wd that has 2500hp, he said that he wont do burn out because he hooks up so hard he doesnt need to, but it will.

That wimp still had to use water to get things broke loose. LOL
By the nature of a 4x4 it takes major HP, bad tires and a crappy suspension sytem to get and keep things spinning. The goal on a good 4x4 is not to get them to spin

all I can say is when my F truck was programmed in 4 high if any tire was on anything a lioule slippery like a tiny bit of sand or something when you stabbed it and the turbo spooled it would start to spin them until it started to jump!!! all I can say is I always let up before the smoke rolled because you know the driveshaft or something would be on the ground first...oh and the amount of coal coming from the tail pipe was sick

A 4wd burnout is pretty tough. I have yet to see one done. My brothers 77 K10 lwb will light em up pretty good from a stop and so will my 79 F150 4x4 swb but not in 4wd.

Are we talkin`4wds doing 2wd burnouts or 4wd burnouts?Just thought I`d get that clarified.My original answer applies either way.

I know this is a lame video, but this is the closest you'll come to a 4 wheel burnout. Like it was stated earlier you would not be able to do a four wheel burnout without being chained down. Our trucks are to heavy and have to big of a tire to do it. You might, might be able to do this with small tires and a high torque and HP motor.

if you got a manual all you got to do is dump the clutch.did it all the time in my 76 f250 high boy with a 351m bored 30 over and 35in mud tires. and that was in 2nd gear cause it had a 4speed granny low.

Now that is what I am talking about. ^^ That is a burn out without cheating and holding the brakes. A four wheel burn out no less, okay, actually a 60/40 AWD burn out but still getting plenty of smoke off the front tires as well.

Hehe, yea, me too! Those AWD transfercases aren't nearly as strong as a regular 4wd tcase. None the less, pretty cool AWD smoke show!

Maybe all that smoke was coming from the tcase clutches!

My 05 Dodge, with a smarty on level 7 will spin all 4 305/70/17's on a drag strip while doing a boosted launch. I have seen plenty of diesel trucks do it on the strip and on the street in 4wd.
