front end id

ok i dont have a pic but can u gus id this. it is a 1969 gmc suburban and i have a o=problem that the front passenger wheel locks up as i hit the breaks in forward and reverse so one wtf is the problem is it in the hub. and the front end is a wierd looking balland socket type wtf is that.

It's a closed knuckle Dana 44 with drum brakes. Easiest and best thing to do is replace it with a newer axle, get at the very minimum disc brakes.
