Um, I would probably say a big ol' block-o-wood. Hunk of firewood, or just kick the $h!T out of it. Kick the bottom and the top should come loose, if that dont work. Get the wood like I said and chuck it at the bottom it should do the same thing. It's just kinda froze against the drum I'm sure, if it's steel then no worries, just keep beating it, be a little nicer to those aluminum wheels tho. KEEP HITTING IT. Disclaimer, Make sure there aint nothing under the vehicle including you, and make sure it wont fall off a jack while you are hitting it. Make sure it's secure

Re: i took the lug nuts off but wheel wont come off.

I have had this happen with an aluminum wheel. It was a parts car, so I pulled the whole axle, set the wheel on the ground, pulled sideways on the axle and it came off.
I had a similar problem on my Jimmy, although I was getting a tiny amount of movement, so I kept pulling back and forth until it came off.
Sometimes they are tough, keep working on it and it should come off.

You need a BFH. It should come off without too much issue. Maybe shoot it with some liquid wrench or something and let it sit.

Re: i took the lug nuts off but wheel wont come off.

Try some wd-40 and wait for 30 minutes or so, maybe let it down till it touches the ground a little and see if it will pop loose that way. They are tough to get off sometimes.

I had one a long time ago, I had to relieve the brakes and take drum off with the wheel.

hope thats a little help,Margaret

Haha. Never have too much lube Also, if it's a rear, may wanna tap the hammer around the axle where the wheel sits on there, sometimes they freeze up there and have such tight tolerances, wont move much. Giver a squirt and beat 'er up

i gave it a few good kicks, and it didnt moove so i let the jack down just enough to let some pressure on it and jacked it back up and kicked it one more time and it came off. it was a layer of mud dobber nests that was holding it in place.

Re: i took the lug nuts off but wheel wont come off.

I had this problem with my 91 Caprice wagon-steel wheels. The conter bore of the wheel would hang up on the rotor. I would use a short piece of 2x4 and a 3lb hammer. I finally got fed up with it enough to hit the inside of the center bore with my dremmel. Shaved off just enough to free it up-then a light coat of grease.

Re: i took the lug nuts off but wheel wont come off.

when i put the other wheels on they have about 1/36th of clearance so i think it will be good. the original wheels have around 35 thousands of clearance.

DON"T USE FORCE!!!! GET A BIGGER HAMMER!!! Hit on the outside of the tire. Had this happen to me out in the woods. Jacked the truck up. Took a piece of firewood and SMACKED!!!!! the tire a few times and it broke loose.

Had The Same Thing Happen Once On My K5. I Tied A Chain (big One) To The Rim And Just Kept Whipping The Chain. Seamed To Work Better Than A Hammer. Just A Different Process But Same Outcome.
