Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

Installed a dash camera in my Denali. It was in my 2018 Sierra. Only took me 14 months to get around to hard wiring it in this truck.

We were just below the edge of that snow and it got to low-50s. I put up the lights on all my buildings. Over the years I've been told the kids across the road (barely see their house from here) love the lights. I also have kids next to and behind me who have parents that don't do such things and I like knowing they get to see mine. The ones across the way are growing up but staying around and now they do the lights up bigtime, starting with stringing lights from the road all the way back to the house. I get to look at theirs now. I always liked seeing the house out in the country all lit up. I love seeing mine when I drive up in the evening, as well as while I'm home. I can look out my window from bed and see them above the window and out on the woodshed. I love seeing the lights in the snow. I leave them on until second week of January January but leave them up till spring. I'll plug them in when we get a good snow.

Hah! I still have all the Nintendo stuff from my oldest son. I may still master Mario Brothers yet! That's all I ever tried with it or any other video gaming. I figure it still works but haven't tried.

Take Suburban to town with grandkids to do errands. That's just great, and how it was meant to be. When I had my '71 it was our pile in and go vehicle when our kids were young. I mostly remember going to 4H for dog obedience classes with our kids our dog, some neighbor kids, and their dogs. All I knew is I was driving and could see out the windshield and looking in the rear view was eyeballs and fur.

I like to carry parts on my seat that go on my truck. Bigger stuff goes on the passenger floor

What I did yesterday, other than leaves and Christmas lights, was finish bolting bottom plates on the one barn wall (barn move project) and lay the block that the building will move across. Still on temporary supports. Let that set a while then set the building down and do the other side

I'd like to see this whole building move in time lapse. I suppose you will use a come along to slide that wall over when the time comes?

I just hope it moves! I wish I had a Go-Pro. I have a camera I could use. Sounds like more work tho' . How will I move the building? Heck if I know. I thought you knew. I'm just focused on getting it ready to be moved . I really am just figuring it out as I go. I get all the ideas floating around and when I get closer to it I come up with what might be best. I was originally thinking push the building with skid loader or large farm tractor with bucket. The plan is to run 4x6s between the 4 posts to tie both walls together at the bottom. Then roll the building on pieces of steel pipe between the 4x6 and the short temporary block walls.

I have considered maybe come-alongs might do it with the pipe rollers helping. The question has been how to anchor the end I'll be pulling to. I was looking at the side I haven't touched the posts on yet and am thinking I can use those to anchor to. I could just cut them out up high making room to bolt the plates under the posts and leave the lower part to anchor to.

I've also been digging out my cellar and I think about your new foundation project. This is all handwork, no skid loader, shovel and bucket. I just began going down another 6".

Your building on truck picture reminds me of just a roof we set on a '40 Chevy flatbed and moved to my friend's place. I'm sure he has pictures. It was a sight going down the road. I believe it was at least 12' wide.

Post that picture again of the house you jacked up and put a basement under. I'm still in awe of that one.

Me too! I can still see that picture in my head.

I keep going down and bringing buckets out to fill the wheelbarrow. Nothing awesome about it. It's a testament to determination I tell ya!
