Custom center counsels

Well, im in no way ready to install my interior, but i would like to see or hear about some different options i might have.

I have bucket seats that i am going to install in my '68, and i am wondering what anyone else has done with their center counsel options???

if anyone might be able to show me what they have done, or what is out their for what i can put in between my buckets.

any additional info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks much!

Re: Custom center counsels

Here are pics of a console I modified for a friends 67 pickup. Console is from a 1990 Jaguar, raised up higher into dash area, and then added body filler to match up to dash, then covered.

Re: Custom center counsels

This is a few shots of my homemade console that I put in my 50 pickup. Just a wood frame with angle welded to floor, wood screwed to angle, then make covers and then apply material.

Thanks guys for the comments. I just read a lot about interior work, and look at a lot of work done by others. Pick up pointers here and there.

Re: Custom center counsels

Certainly not as nice as that jag console, but here is my first crack at one in my 68. I was happy with the way it turned out and it hides my driveshaft tunnel, air valves and alot of air line and wires. But I hinged it so they all are still accessible. Still need to put speakers in it and a new switch panel but thats pretty far down the mile long to-do list
