Question 1966 c10 / truck rear main seal / oil pan gasket replacement

I am replacing the main rear seal on my 1966 chevy c10. 250 motor, with it in the truck, have the oil pan bolts out, looks like I have to jack up the motor to remove the pan and clean it up for the new gasket ??? , How do I remove the top half of the old main seal with it in the truck ??? , and slide the new in ??? , a three part ??? please Help....
