Re: 1966 C-10 build

Thanks John appreciate the kind words. Kind of embarrassed that my lil project pales in comparison to some of the projects others are working on or have completed. It is what it is and we will make the most of it and have fun no matter. Yours is looking great BTW... Congrats!

Oh yours doesn't pale in comparison. Anytime you do the work it makes it more rewarding....

I understand about the parts issues you are having from some vendors...it irritates me to no end to spend good money with folks and have them act like they are doing you a favor.

I do like the attachment you spoke about that goes on your pressure washer...do you happen to have a link for the one you use?

Cool...Any tips or tricks when using it? Does it snap into your wand? Also what sand did you use?

Re: 1966 C-10 build

Some days are better than others like any project I guess. Nice to be able to share with all you on here as I know first hand watching others and keeping up to date with everyone elses builds keeps one motivated
Yesterday and today were those days we all look forward to.. Fired up the motor and with the new oil pan gasket and the trans pan gasket and shift selector seal it would appear as though we now have a dry garage floor...

Unfortunately work will pull me away for a week or more. On my return the real fun starts. New wheels and tires and exhaust system. Like John said I am looking forward to some donuts.... Unlike John though I like the kind with sprinkles more than the rubber ones...LOL

Re: 1966 C-10 build

Feels like I have been in quick sand last couple months. But things are moving forward and we are getting close to having it back on its own wheels and under its own power.
Latest update:
I bought a seat cover and figured it would be no big deal to put it on.....WRONG!!!
Its now down at the local shop being reinstalled correctly.. SMH!
Going to get the tires mounted tomorrow and hopefully the lug nuts will come in within a few days. Too Lazy to take pics today..

FWIW--I can see all the pictures...very strange some can't.

Quick question...did you paint your cab interior fawn or the silver fawn? If neither, what did you use? Thanks!

Re: 1966 C-10 build

I did a search for tri bar headlights.. Came up with a ton of places. Cant remember which one I ordered from but they were not cheap... $45 for the pair...…

I just did a search on the photo issue... most say to clear your browsers Cache.... hope that helps...….. Wait a second. if you asked about the lights you must be able to see the pics

Maybe its just the two of us that can see them.

Re: 1966 C-10 build

That's the pic right there.

I just did a search on EBAY and came up with a ton of options. clear center, red center, blue center, with or without turn indicators and on and on and on... Looks like around $40 dollars. for a set.

how much brighter are they than anything else? That is in my price range. Would love LED but don't want to break the bank.

I saw some LED headlights on EBAY for $85
Just do a search Chevy 7" led headlights and a bunch come up.
The tri bars are bright enough for me and match my ol skool theme..

I also did the headlight relay upgrade and that made a huge difference...
