Re: 22's on a stepside laid out.

Two trucks, 67-72, recently on the cover of Truckin are both laying body with 24's in the rear, fleetside.

Me to! If you section the fender above the bodyline and add 1" you can run a 275/35/20 which is 27.6''s tall and a stepside bed will lay flat. For a 22'' tire it would have to be in the 30 series or shorter.

yea i know one belongs to ricky holly from houston. its gonna be in the new twisted inc dvd. if u run across it get it. but yea that truck was on the back ground of my computer. by the way just started on mine last night. i started the notch and pretty much did a back half. runnin a 2 link and gonna raise the front crossmember 2" and forward 1" and either cut the lower arms or build some. to lay on 22's. i still need a fleetside bed plus a passenger fender. whole front lower corner is rusted out. haha.

It is easy to do as long and you narrow your rear end. Mine right now is on a Z28 Camaro rear end and it just barely rubs when laid on in 22's in the rear.

That's true on a "fleetside". This thread pertains to "stepsides" which is much more difficult to accomplish.
