I think the whole setup ran about $370 or so. Not much more progress after that, been a busy summer

My dad learned how to drive in it and he eventually got the truck. When I became old enough to drive he started fixing it up for me. Well, back in Dec. 02 someone hit it in the exact same spot yours was hit and destroyed the front end. It bent the frame on both sides and tore the frame on the driver's side. I have been wanting to fix it up so bad but just don't have the money right now so it is just sitting under a tarp until I can get the money. A friend of mine found me a 67 SWB frame for $250 a few months after it happened but it has been sitting like the truck waiting until I can afford to start working on it. I'm glad to see you have started fixing up yours. I hope to one day have mine on the road again. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of car/truck hit you?
Sounds like a familiar story

She was driving a black Saturn coupe. The front end looked like a tent.

Re: My 1967 Chevy SWB Stepside Project

It was an Integra that did that to mine. It's amazing how much damage these little plastic cars can do to an old steel vehicle. I guess when they're going 60-75mph that will happen.

Re: My 1967 Chevy SWB Stepside Project

Well, I cleaned up my garage today. I put the cab back on the rolling chassis.
It doesn't look like I'll get much more progress on it this year.

My buddy is working 6 days with his new job helping run a local hot rod company. Next up is still motor work and the cab, but that may have to wait until Spring...

I must say, even that old beat up cab looks pretty good on the lowered chassis

Better late then never

Say it aint so...storage?...Not for long I hope.

If you ever find yourself heading about 45 minutes to an hour north, stop in...there's always cold beer here.
