Chrome is great on heater control knobs. No pits/peels.

The heads are complete with Valve covers. They were pulled with 60K on them. They are the 906 heads. The myth about the difference between the 906 and 062 is just that a myth.
The Compressor came with the Serpentine kit I bought from GM. It says 4344 on it. The kit instructions say 1134344.

Re: Misc Parts

what does the tail gate look like? mine is functional, but a bit beat up, and the aluminum insert is...shall we say...a little tweaked. might be able to come over this weekend and get yours if it looks pretty good. any chance it is dark blue?

It is very straight. I would call the color "Natural" I has been bead blasted. There a few blemishes from a little surface rust and someone welded up some holes that were drilled in it.

It will need to be painted.

It was for a project I was working on. I will put up some pics if you are intrested.

Re: Misc Parts

other than prime and paint, is it ready to mount up...ie; all internal linkage intact and functional? are the weld spots flush or would they need grinding/sanding? maybe i had better see some pics.

I would say it would need a little filler here and there. For a little more $$$ I can get it ready for paint. Filled and primered.

Bottom pic is not as bad as it looks. It does have some surface rust from sitting in the shed.

Actually I will be heading up there in a week or so to pick up my motor from the machine shop.

Luckily you can use a tailgate band to cover up that "GMC" growth it has on it...
