Re: front end overhaul ?

How do you know if you have to replace the shafts? Typical wear on them?

Deep gouges or bent, I replaced mine because they had deep rust pits and gouges. BTW the Moog shafts come with rubber bushings not polly.

Amazon
upper ball joint 59.99 45.06 ea
lower ball joint 33.99 28.28 ea

upper shaft kit 54.99 48.38 ea
lower shaft kit 73.99 61.93 ea

tie rod inner 21.99 27.30 ea
tie rod outer 30.99 28.05 ea

idler arm 43.99 37.48 ea
pit man 90.99 46.70 ea

That’s for a 79 Sierra heavy half.

Re: front end overhaul ?

I had spaces in there but they didn’t post, the second price is what I paid from Amazon. All Moog. If you do order from them make sure it’s from Amazon and not the market place so you get free shipping.

Re: front end overhaul ?

So how do you find the Moog part numbers? I'd like to rebuild the 82's suspension. But the FLAP is not so friendly as to allow me a day and their computer....
