Hey i just got shafted! Take a look the sight of being shafted never looked so good!

Guys after making the tilt columns we stepped it up and made the show collapsible steering shafts. Unlike the original which is uglier than 10 miles of mud fence, this one is really flashy when you open the hood. It sports a CPP 3/4-36 universal joint with a 18" piece of CPP nickle shaft that iss connected to a CPP intermediate Shaft & Flange and a brand new CPP 13/16-36 ragjoint. These go hand and foot with the columns we just released but even if you already have the column this will be the best $90.00 you can spend.

That's a nice looking piece Jeff. The joint alone makes it worth the asking price.

Jeff,

What about a price for a shaft with the billet u-joints on both ends?

Thanks,

Re: Hey i just got shafted! Take a look the sight of being shafted never looked so go

another quick question.....is this exactly the same length as stock? Do you offer it any shorter? I think you'd have a market for that for those with van tilts....they could have a shorter shaft and still have the collapsible feature in it instead of collapsing a stock piece to make their van column fit correctly...

I'm guessing after typing this that I could simply cut the end of the shaft and bolt the U-joint back on, correct???

Sure that would just be 2 universal joints and a piece of 3/4" dd shaft, sometimes guys dont like to do that for vibration in the steering wheel.

Thanks Jeff. That's a good point about the vibration issue. I didn't think about that. I was just going for the "cool" look.

PM sent.

So what if we just have the factory non-tilt column- I need to replace the factory rag joint, but it would be nice to just replace this whole section if possible, especially for that price! is it available for that?

Will this directly bolt up to a STOCK column on the upper end and a stock steering box on the lower end?

This one is made to bolt directly into a 69-72 chevy truck with power steering, but i can make them special for whatever you need as long as i have the parts.

How about a quick ratio power steering gear box?

Re: Hey i just got shafted! Take a look the sight of being shafted never looked so go

I bought one of these last summer, and honestly this was one of the easiest upgrades, took me an hour, I think i'd have done it in 30 mins if the bolts on my old rag joint had'nt given me trouble. It looks so much cleaner than my stock one with the rubber boot leaking grease as it did.

Hey Jeff thanks for that same set up on my 60 Biscayne...it works and looks better than the old stock "grease slinger" shaft that was on the car!
