Update on my woes.

It's definitely the cap and rotor, I ordered a cheap distributor off evilbay and it ran ok for about 20 miles and the stumbling and bucking came back with a vengeance.
Seemed to be worse at light throttle.
So I took the a wire wheel to the contacts on the old Standard cap and rotor I had from the old distributor and put it on the chinese distributor, stumbling is gone, actually goes down the road pretty good now.
