Re: finally come

Looking good Pimston. Nice job on the spring cleaning. Amazing how much dirt and crap comes off an old truck.

yeah like 10lbs, really!!! now i can start the next phase without all that crap everywhere!!! it hasn't be bad at all taking everything off. i still need to take off the driveshafts, transfer case, brake and fuel lines. oh and the gas tank... I'm gonna mock the engine block/3 speed tomorrow, cuz it would have had a 250, but i rebuild a 292 before the truck even arrived!!!, had i known it should have had a 250 i would have rebuilt one and no need to move the passenger side motor mount, but oh well!!!

Hey pimpston. Is that light showing through at the corner of the toe board and the kick panel or is that just the camera.

Re: finally come

In all of this, you are saving your NOS boxes the parts came in! Great for display and for the insurance evaluation when it's finished.

Don't forget to make sure you have a good metal-to-metal ground connection from the cluster housing to the bezel, and form the bezel to the dash. Sometimes a little fresh paint can get in the way. Otherwise you're lights won't be as bright and the cigarette lighter can do funny things.

Re: finally come

Hey pimpston
How did the armrests turn out after you sprayed them with the Krylon? I need to do mine with the same paint only in khaki as that's what color my interior is. What kind of prep work did you do? Mine is new so not too much prep needed
