Eybrow replacement

So what exactly is the difference between the "eyebrow" sheet metal above the windshield on a 60-63 (which everybody sells) versus the 64-66 (which nobody sells)? I don't know anybody around here with a Knee Knocker that I can park next to to compare (I have a 65).
Any help is appreciated,
Thanks,
Tom

Re: Eybrow replacement

Out of the two that Rocknrod posted, which one do you classify as the 60-63 style?

When I replaced that part on my '64 cab about 5yrs ago, (from what I remember) the only one available at the time was this style from American classic. It was listed as a 60-63 cab part, but fit just the same without issue on my '64 cab.

Re: Eybrow replacement

You've probably found that they don't make one for the 60-62s. The piece that you get for the 63 - up is shorter so you won't be able to use it full length and the corners are actually a bit of a different radius so you have to massage that in too, but it can be made to work.

Oops, I just realized you are asking about the outer piece....

Re: Eybrow replacement

I know on the inner piece, they don't make it for the 60-63 cabs. The 64-66 cabs and 60-63 cabs are only different in the corners. I bought the inside piece to replace the middle section. I have outer sections from a donor cab for the inside of mine.

On the outside, the roof panel is the same for 60-66. It would not surprise me if the outer front lip is also the same, again with just the corners being different. This is my guess-timation though as I have not cut out that piece from either year cab yet

Re: Eybrow replacement

If you mean the piece pictured in post 3 , Every company has these labeled wrong. I have had several of these NOS and they are the exact same GM part number for every 1960-1966 Chevy and GMC pickup panel and suburban.

Re: Eybrow replacement

Thanks to all for the responses. Sorry I wasn't clear, but was asking about the outside piece. Figured I'd see a 60-63 in my travels to compare (lots of old Chevy's around here) but of course I haven't seen a one since I started looking, go figure.
Sounds Like catalogs are wrong (as usual) and one part fits all as I suspected.
Appreciate the help,
Tom

Re: Eybrow replacement

Let me know if you need photos or measurements from my 60 Tom.

There are some of the early C10s that meet in Pismo at the Donut Shop (Golden Donut Shop in the Ross Shopping Center) on Saturday mornings that might give you an in person look?

There will also be a big meet in SLO July 24th as well that will have a bunch of trucks there as well.

Thanks Short.
While I've been going on the Pismo groups annual New Years Tour for years, I never think about going down there on the weekends, be a good excuse to get up early on a Saturday for a change.
Didn't know about the Laguna show. I'm putting it on the calendar now, should be fun!
