Re: Carb Gasket

I bet the mixture screws on the back carb were just a blast to adjust on a dual quad. Think that would be easier on a short runner crossram setup. My first thought was a tunnel ram and how hard would it be to get the primaries rich enough.

Re: Carb Gasket

Not that hard to adjust.
I used a shortened Schrader tool.

It was short term carb experiment. First was afb’ s, then quadrajets and then holley’s.
Afb’ s ran the best.

Apologies for the thread jackin’.

Tell your son to search for mr. gasket or transdapt name.

By the way the dark areas on your spacer indicate the carb was running rich or flooding a bit.
From what I was told the thick aluminum adaptor plates are better suited to high reving engines . I was told to use this both by a local speed shop and the tech at Edelbrock .

Re: Carb Gasket

That plate is needed if you’re using a thin side walled open plenum intake like an eddy 2101.
Stock intake needs an adaptor like I linked.
