Update...

I can not find the time to finish the bodywork so I'm in the process of finding a shop that I trust to finish it. I could wait till things slow down but I WANNA BE DRIVING IT THIS SUMMER

I am makin a set of steps out of 2x3 and 2x4 steel tube. Pics to come when I make some progress.....

Got a couple in mind. Shouldn't be too big a deal, just needs a couple little dings fixed, wet sanded and shot.

Re: "Slowly but Surely" Big J's build thread...

Hauled it to the wonderful place where the paint work will be completed last night! I'm stoked! Shouldn't be too long and I will have it back in my shop for final assembly. It will need more than a couple dings fixed, lol. There are ripples, waves, and what not, lol. Looks great in the pics but when in the light...... So its going to be done right.

Re: "Slowly but Surely" Big J's build thread...

The plan is to use single stage as a base then a few coats of clear to make the paint look a foot deep.

Re: "Slowly but Surely" Big J's build thread...

Progress! Three steps forward and 4 steps back, lol. Seems like a waste to sand away all that I've done but oh well, it'll look sick when its complete.

Looks good J, would love to see it when finished. I've heard that single stage with several coats of clear looks pretty good.
