lift up the rear end and spin one side, if the other wheel starts spinning the same way after a few turns it is a locking rear. as for gear ratio spin the pinion yoke slowly and count how many turns it takes for the tire to go one complete revolution

Gearing is 4.10 I know that. Right now I would have to plan a trip out to the farm just to check about 1.0 hrs from house on a weekend. How interested are you in the ho52 were you planning on picking it up or getting shipping, I think shipping would be a challenge for me since I don't have a truck at the moment

i would buy it if its a locking 4.10. i would have to have you ship just the center section which you could fit in a milk crate. i am not in a rush though so dont feel pressured
