Re: cleaning aluminum intake

You have to be careful what you get this stuff on but I used to use Eagle Mag cleaaner. It's an acid based wheel cleaner. A small brush and some water rinsing it off.

I would be careful with anything caustic if you have rtv for manifold to block seal.

Re: cleaning aluminum intake

What is it you are trying to remove? Grease and grunge (GUNK) gas always been good for this, or is it more severe built in stains like oxidation etc. In this case you may have to remove and get it glass beaded.

esll.

Good idea is to clean your engine with Gunk and assess the situation from there. This would be the cheapest and you do not want a dirty engine and a clean intake.

This is what I use as well, but as noted it's got to be washed off with a lot of water very quickly.

Re: cleaning aluminum intake

If you just want to make it brighter, Bleach-White doesn't do a bad job.

Tooth Brush + Bleach-White.
Wipe off with wet terry towel.
