Re: 1981_c10 Step-Side

I am on a mac and getting pictures uploaded can be a pain...i will try to to work on it.

I have the LS 5.3 sitting in the struck with trans crossmember installed, headers installed and started putting on on few accessories. Also, got all brake hoses swapped.

Bough a pedal mount kit from a guy on here for 67-72. Anyone used on 73-87? not sure what i need to do to make it work.

Short list to complete is fuel lines, trans cooler lines, gaskets on valve covers and intake. Going with stock intake for not and will upgrade later. Also need to buy radiator and terminator....$$$$ need to sell some parts first.

I started cleaning up the trans for the swap this weekend. The inside casting of the bell housing had lots of cracks. Any thought son casting cracks or something i shouldnt be worried about? from a 2005 silverado.
I know this was posted a long time ago. I'm not saying you can't tell what's cracked and what's not but I've definitely seen aluminum transmission cases that looked like they were almost spiderwebbed with cracks that were actually remnants from casting but it was hard to tell until I got it really clean.
