Re: Sandy~~1984 C10 L86/4L80 build

Would you use something other than Terminator if you were starting from scratch?

Yes and no brother. I have used Terminators on quite a few LS swaps and have had zero issues. And I have two builds right now that I will use it.

However if I was to swap an LT engine into something else, I would not use the Terminator. Holley makes some good stuff, but they are missed the mark on this when they put it out for the masses. More to follow I'm sure....

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

That's too bad. Although, it's a bit of a relief for me since I'm just doing an LQ4 4L80 swap. Just about to order the Terminator X Max for it.

Quite a few out there. Speartech, HP tuners and a host of folks making harnesses now.

It's becoming the swap of choice as you can't hardly find a low mileage LS motor any more. I'm getting ready to be done with my first one (L86/8L90 in a 93 SWB). There was a steep learning curve at first, but I think I can knock out my 84 pretty quickly when I start it next.

Hit the nail on the head with that one Rob...jus not many low mile LS motors out there. And the aftermarket companies are starting to catch up to the LT game.
Well except one company.......
