Thanks, Dale! Cold snacks are a motivational tool .

Just to prove I made some progress. I got the new ball joints installed into the Porterbuilt control arms and got them mounted up on the chassis.

Re: Walter DeWayne...Walt for short

Walter ROLLS!!! Frame is square, tight and ready for plumbing. So, plumbing for the Sniper EFI, trans cooler lines, Accuair system and brakes need to happen next. Then motor & trans go in for the final time & exhaust can happen. Then cab goes on & painless harness, then …. GEEZUS, it’s a long way to the finish line.

Re: Walter DeWayne...Walt for short

Life got in the way again and it came to a screeching halt. But firewall and interior paint are about to happen. Remember, I’m leaving the exterior alone. First bath the cab has had since 1984’ish.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: Walter DeWayne...Walt for short

I really need to do the same on my '64. The problem is the truck was re-painted years (and years & years) ago w/the Lt Green vs it's OG Turquois Poly.

There are areas where both colors are clearly visible since the truck was not completely disassembled. My original thought was to clean & paint the firewall only (to the upper lip) in Satin black along w/the inner wells & leave the cowl area/s as is. But, a good friend of mine whom shall remain nameless suggested 'hell no'.

I have zero intentions or desire to paint it. Ever....

Your situation (from the pics) looks like it will work well.

Thanks man! It’s actually just the oe 507 paint code. I only did the firewall and interior. I’m leaving the exterior the original used & abused paint.
