Boss 338 wheel questions

Here’s my situation. I have a 71 C10, lowered 3/5. I have a chance to buy some 18x9.5 338’s with 255/55/18 tires. The price is great and the wheels are the style I’m looking for…just unsure if these will fit and look correctly on my truck. I looked on the wheels, but I can’t see what the backspacing measurement is. Any help or advice is appreciated. Thanks all

Re: Boss 338 wheel questions

From what I've looked up the 18x9.5 has a 5.09 inch backspace.

Re: Boss 338 wheel questions

Thank you for that info. Knowing the backspacing is 5.09" will that be OK for fitment on my truck? I don't have a good knowledge of that.

Re: Boss 338 wheel questions

Can they fit? Yes.

Will they fit? It's subjective. It will depend on what you like visually. What works for you may not 'work' for me.

I would suggest measuring a current wheel for a baseline & using that to determine clearances & fit within the wheel well.

What about doing a test fit to see if you like the look? All 4 wheels the same size? That def plays into the visual aspect depending on the trucks suspension set-up & other specifics.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: Boss 338 wheel questions

Wheels are 9.5 all the way around. I’m hoping to be able to test fit them before I buy. Thanks for the helps guys
