Window regulator

I need to replace the passenger window regulator, I haven’t done it in ten years and can’t remember if I need to take out the wing vent, watched a few YouTube videos and seemed most removed the wing vent then I saw one where it was done without removing the wing vent but the video didn’t go into detail how they did it. Is it actually possible?

Re: Window regulator

I just rebuilt both my doors with new regulators and removing the wing sure made it easier. It might be possible though, I just didn't try that as I also replaced all of the weather strip and whiskers.

Re: Window regulator

It's been my experience that you lose less skin off your knuckles, if you pull the vent windows too.

Re: Window regulator

I haven't done on on 67-72 in a while, but I just did the one on my 81 and the manuals says to take out the wing window to get the glass out easier.
