Went with 2.5 spindles and 2.5in Z up front. Up gradeing to power disc brakes & power steering. Got rid of the 3 speed column shift for automatic th350 with floor shifter. Replaced factory column with tilt column and gear box from a 84 c10. New boss wheels and bags.

Air suspension is a 8 gallon tank with 2 444c viair compressors, and 1/2 inch valves and lines. more pics to come once i get everything in.

Very nice! I love those wheels. I just wish they would make them in 22"s

Re: 1966 bagged c10

Me too. I was going to get the coys 22's but they were to much $$$$$. So I settle for the boss wheels. I was worreid about them looking to small, but they actually look pretty good.

Re: 1966 bagged c10

Yeah, I may have to "settle" for 20"s too. Can't find too many 22"s that I like.

You may want to get some adjustable flow contrrollers for your valves. I am using 1/2" line with 3/8" valves and it was really fast up and down. It made it a little bit difficult to fine tune the ride height. I stepped down from a 200 psi switch to a 165 and put adjustable mufflers on the dump valves to slow it down a bit.

Re: 1966 bagged c10

I got the steering linkage in last night. New tie rods, Pitman arm & idler arm. The tie rod adjuster sleeves came from cpp. The factory outters are now my inners and i am using a mid 70's outter tie rod to match up with the spindles.

Re: 1966 bagged c10

Thanks guys. It's 11:30 p.m. and I am just now finished putting engine and transmission back in. new mounts and using the front holes in the frame made it a little difficult, but its in!!!!

Slammed66 the tires are 235/35zr20's, BigCarter i am closer than you think Bridge City. Its easier to put new orelans, everyone knows where that's at. Do they have any car clubs around. I've only been living here a few years.

Re: 1966 bagged c10

I built the truck with my dad about 10 years ago. Of course he was old school and we kept it original. Well now it's getting with the times. The paint job is about 8 years old. We had it painted out in San Antonio by one of my dads friends.

Re: 1966 bagged c10

Any of you guys run into a problem with the alternator and battery not being big enough for compressors. I am running all my electrical/ air lines this weekend and I have 2 444c viair compressors, they pull about 30 amps each. I think these alternators only put about 40 to 50 amps. I also have a red top optima battery. I have a regular battery i can use also if it will help.
