'74 Chevelle; original owner, best of 9.85 at 136 mph.

Featured in Popular Hot Rodding (May 2010) and "Chevelle: Chevy's Mid Size Muscle" mag.

I've been racing this same car for 32 years.

Re: What else do you race

I wasn't at this particular race. But have raced slot cars on and off for several years. Lot's of fun watching grown men acting like 4yr olds over some toy cars.

Basically a brocks 1397 with head and cam,385 intake stock intake on the exhaust side,34 mm stainless steel valves, stock bottom end, brock out put shafts, trans was back cut,all the standard bolt on stuff.Motor was built by Jason Barnett i think that was his last name, out of indy,it was tuned by the all mighty Lee Shierts, bike made 218 to the wheel on pump gas and 225 on vp mr9.Drove it anywhere, never ran hot,got a little hot one time in mrtle beach in traffic in 90 degree weather. The thing would move.My buddy rickey grayson rode it at 59inches in the heat blowing the tire away and the damn thing still ran 5.70s @ 125 in the 1/8 on pump gas.A guy found out how fast it was heard i wanted a new 08 at the time offerd me some money for the motor i sold it parted the rest out and i still dont have my 08.Anything you want to know specific give me a holla dont have a problem with sharing.

Thats good for a 1397cc...I'm running a 1441cc Engine built by Drake(KingofdaCoast) at Suzuki City.. I am running a Lee's Perf Stage 4 head with Drake's own cam grind.. they are a bit bigger than what you are running. I have Crower "I" beam rods and it was my streetbike.. I used to ride it on the street daily. Not 15minute rides either.. I'm talking about riding 2hrs to the track.. racing all night and riding it back home I couldnt stay at a redlight for long in this 100 dergree heat though.. but other than that it was as dependable as a stock bike. on motor it made 228hp on C16, its a NOS bike and some comp was taken out for safety.... Next time i'm leaving the comp in. But I could have tried another fuel to get better motor#'s, not important since I dont run motor anyway.. my NOS#'s are whats important cant tell those #'s

and mine is a 2002 model too

Lee does some great work. Dave Owen tuned my orange bike and Rodney Williford built the black turbo grudge bike. good luck on the quest for sixes.
