Unhappy How do you remove the door latch assembly?

I need to buy and replace a door latch assembly for a passenger door but I don't know how to remove the old one. I removed the 3 screws on the end of the door but don't know how to get the unit past the window channel. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Unbolt the weatherstrtip channel ( two 1/4-20 phillips head screws under the door panel and one 7/16" head 1/4 20 bolt on the outside of the door shell. Pull it forward a little bit. It will give you the room you need to get it out. Tip: Re-attach the actuator rods to the new door latch assy BEFORE you bolt it in place. It's a real pain to try and connect them when it's bolted in place.

Thanks. I'll give it a shot tomorrow. I remember seeing 2 screws but don't recall seeing the bolt.

The bolt is a phillips screw like the others but has a larger flat washer and not the star washer. be careful with the linkage clips they get lost or broken easily.

Mothertruckers is right......The bolt on the outside of the door shell IS a phillips head with a washer attached....Sorry for the bad info.

Thanks guys. So far I removed the 3 phillips screws. Does the linkage rod just pop up out of the clips?. Ed, I PM'd you about the latch. I hope you got it because I need it ASAP!
