Dude, I think you can measure how long it's been sitting in decades, not years. LOL! Good looking candidate for a sweet ride.

Re: Look what i found in Father inlaws shed

Looks like a short bed to me! If the front fender emblems on it says 3100 then it is a short bed half ton. If it says 3200 or 3600 it would be a long bed. However I am confident that the fender emblems will say 3100.

So... Does your wife have a single sister

I always thought the spare tire was under the short box, and mounted on the body with the long box.

Re: Look what i found in Father inlaws shed

The spare can be on the side with a short or long bed, it's just mounted higher on the short bed. Same cutout in the fender though

Re: Look what i found in Father inlaws shed

great find, or re-discovery etc.. looks like a full wrap rear bumper, going all the way to the rear of the step fender, and the towing mirrors with the driver's side peep mirror is kinda funny.
Tow bar on the front is interesting, I wonder if it was towed much, also the toolbox in the bed.
Looks maybe like a long bed, the tire sits low instead of high as already mentioned, but looks like there's some space from the tire to the cab and from the tire to the cutout on the fender. I think on the shorts, the tire touched the cut out, and almost touches the cab, as well as sitting higher...
subscribing for more...

Re: Look what i found in Father inlaws shed

After staring at the truck a little longer looks like I was wrong (AGAIN!!), looks like a long step. Guessing a 3200.

Re: Look what i found in Father inlaws shed

that tow bar says he towed it to the field behind his tractor at the start of the day, then he used the truck to come back to the house at lunch or when ever, so as to not waste tractor fuel/time.
An excellent find.
