The numbers are in.... Just a hair above 40" with 33x10.50's. Looks like I do have a 2 or 2.5" lift. Thanks for the measurements!!

Re: First look at my K10 with 2-1/2" Skyjacker lift

I think so too, it looks like you have about 10" between the top of the 33" BFG to the fender well, I have the same tires and last time i measured i had 12" between the tire and fender well and i have a 4" BDS kit.

What ever you decide on rims, that is one beautiful truck!!!

Have you put the trim rings on to see how they look?

I would have to agree. Based on your measurements I would say you have a 2" or 3" lift. Looks like you have the same shocks that I have with my Skyjacker lift. Glad my measurements could help.

Re: First look at my K10 with 2-1/2" Skyjacker lift

Just for grins measured the Jimmy. With 35 12.5 16.5 BFG's it was 42.5" from floor to peak of fenderwell. If you figure an 1" of that height comes from the tire, mine is 1.5" taller than that. I have 4" Rancho lift springs in the front so yours comes out to 2.5" which is exactly what you would expect.

Re: First look at my K10 with 2-1/2" Skyjacker lift

Since my last post I decided to do a couple more things to the truck. I added a set of zero rate springs to the rear. Since the rear was about 1" lower than the front after installing my lift, the zero rate blocks brought it up to level at all four corners. I'm really loving it now! I also decided to have a set of 15X8 rally wheels powder coated hugger orange to match the body color. I want to add 3" trim rings to set them off. I'm still going to look for a set of 15X8 4-nub steelies for the future, but those are bit harder to come by. Thanks for looking.

Very nice. I think a set of trim rings will really set that off.

Re: First look at my K10 with 2-1/2" Skyjacker lift

Just an update… My lift is finally completed. I finished it off with BFG wheels and powder coated Rally wheels. I restored the rally centers by stripping off the paint because its chromed underneath. I also installed 3" rally trim rings. Makes me very happy.

Thanks. It definitely is a nice place to tinker with my truck toys. Thanks again for contributing to the lift by providing me with the rear shackles.

Awesome looking truck ! The rallys really look great.
I would be using rallys on mine, but they won't fit over disc brakes.
