A guy at work has a clean set of fenders from a 75. Will these fit in my 85swb? I'm only asking because I'm getting mixed results on my searches...

Not unless you're changing the fenders to the 73-80 style.

OK, for that matter you can just go to Atwoods or some supply store and buy trailer fenders. Hell they "fit".

Can you make them fit, probably. Will it be a no cussing bolt up, unlikely.

When I put an 81+ inner fender on my 75, there were a few bolt holes that didn't line up but most did. In addition, the battery tray support didn't match up. Did I get it to work, yes. Was there cussing involved, yes.

I am guessing the outer fenders will have other issues as well.

Go to a junk.yard or swap meet. Buy the correct fenders and save a headache

Dude you are asking two different questions between the title and the post. You need to have matching inner and outer fenders they are 73-80 and 81-87 (91) if you have fenders from one genre and inners from another they will not work. You can put the earlier nose on the truck if youd like but you need a complete nose and wiper transmission assembly to do this. newer models require a cowl older do not
