S & W roll bars

Has anyone used the 8 point roll bar kit from S & W race cars for our trucks? I want to put one in my 87. I'm looking at them because they are an hour away and I can pick it up without shipping. Me and a friend will be putting it in. He's installed some before so I'm not worried about his ability.

Thanks

Re: S & W roll bars

I've installed a few of their roll bar kits in other cars, and they fit relatively well. The chromoly kit would be best for light weight tubing, but if you go with the regular steel, go with the .120 wall DOM tubing.

Re: S & W roll bars

I have used several of there roll cages and a complete chassis kit over the years and they do a good job on there kits. They have been at it a long time and were always good to deal with. This Chevy 2 I did was S&W front to back.

Thanks guys. I was planning on going with the DOM kit. Does anybody have pics of one in their trucks?

Re: S & W roll bars

The kit they have is for a blazer i believe, and says it will fit trucks. This is the 10 point kit that i have, and i only used the main hoop, halo bar, and the harness cross bar(have to mount low if using bench and if seat is back). I ended bending the rest of my own bars.

Re: S & W roll bars

Domer do you have any pictures of your install? I always wondered how people weld the tough to reach areas and paint after.

Re: S & W roll bars

I have some in my build. I cut holes in my floor and dropped the cage down.
